Founded by a student athlete.
Every Kid Plays was founded by Audrina Rager, a Fishers High School student-athlete who turned years of competitive sports experience into a growing statewide community initiative.
Through her involvement in youth athletics, Audrina noticed that countless families had quality sports equipment sitting unused after children outgrew, replaced, or moved on from a sport — while many other families struggled with the rising costs of participation.
Rather than simply recognizing the issue, Audrina decided to create a solution. She developed the concept, brought it to her mother, Tara Rager, and together they registered Every Kid Plays as an Indiana 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
“Sports have given me so much growing up — confidence, friendships, discipline, opportunities, and memories I’ll carry forever. I realized there are kids who want those same experiences but may not have access to the equipment they need. I wanted to create something that could genuinely help families in our community.”
“Seeing her recognize the needs of others and take meaningful action at such a young age has been incredibly rewarding. This initiative came entirely from her heart.”
