Our Mission

A second life for the gear.
A first chance for the kid.

Every Kid Plays is a registered Indiana 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded by a Fishers high school student-athlete to give lightly used sports equipment a second life while giving every child the opportunity to participate in athletics.

As children grow, switch sports, or upgrade equipment, quality gear is often left unused. At the same time, many families face rising costs tied to youth sports participation.

Every Kid Plays bridges that gap by collecting clean, safe, gently used equipment and redistributing it at no cost to families and youth programs in need across Indiana.

Reuse

Give quality equipment a second life — keep usable gear out of garages, attics, and landfills.

Access

Help reduce the cost of youth sports participation for Indiana families who need it most.

Community

Turn local donations into local opportunities — gear stays in the community that gave it.

What We Accept

If a kid plays it, we take it.

We accept lightly used youth sports equipment across every major sport — and most of the ones in between. If you're not sure whether something qualifies, bring it; we'll let you know.

Our Story

Founded by a student athlete.

Every Kid Plays was founded by Audrina Rager, a Fishers High School student-athlete who turned years of competitive sports experience into a growing statewide community initiative.

Through her involvement in youth athletics, Audrina noticed that countless families had quality sports equipment sitting unused after children outgrew, replaced, or moved on from a sport — while many other families struggled with the rising costs of participation.

Rather than simply recognizing the issue, Audrina decided to create a solution. She developed the concept, brought it to her mother, Tara Rager, and together they registered Every Kid Plays as an Indiana 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

“Sports have given me so much growing up — confidence, friendships, discipline, opportunities, and memories I’ll carry forever. I realized there are kids who want those same experiences but may not have access to the equipment they need. I wanted to create something that could genuinely help families in our community.”

— Audrina Rager, Founder

“Seeing her recognize the needs of others and take meaningful action at such a young age has been incredibly rewarding. This initiative came entirely from her heart.”

— Tara Rager, Mother & Supporter
